Frequently Asked Questions

There are many questions surrounding the world of cakes! I will try to answer the most common ones here.

How do I place an order?

To place an order, you can go to my contact page and fill out the submission form. From there we can go over details of what you want your cake to look like, what size, date, budget, etc. You may also call me at the phone number listed on the contact page.

How far in advanced should I place my order?

The sooner, the better! It is best to order at least 3-4 weeks in advance but if you do have a last minute order, you can always give me a try! Last minute orders, 1 week notice or less, will have an additional fee. That fee will depend on the details of the cake.

How do I pay?

An invoice will be emailed to you. You can pay with debit or credit through the invoice or with Zelle or Venmo.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, I require a 50% deposit to secure your order, and the other 50% one week before order is due.

Do you deliver?

Yes, I will deliver up to 30 miles. There is a base fee of $10 plus $2 per mile. If you are 3 miles or less from my residence, delivery is free.

How much do your cakes cost?

Please go to my pricing and menu page to find the details for custom cakes. All cakes will be priced after we have come to an agreement on what you want. Most custom cakes are $150-$500, but of course it all depends on the details!

Why are your cakes so expensive?

Anything custom is going to cost more. When I make a custom cake for you, I do everything in my power to make it just what you desire. In the process of doing so, I spend much time planning, shopping, baking, making frosting and fondant, coloring frosting and fondant, lots of time decorating (which includes many things), and the forever task of cleaning the kitchen and washing the dishes. Cakes take time and skill. It is an art that most cake decorators take pride in. I also have expenses including taxes, electricity, cost of supplies and ingredients, etc. I also want to make a living wage for the area we live in.
